A compact three-floor descent
The Last Forge is a short top-down action roguelite with randomized rooms, a visible minimap, five enemy types, and a boss after the third floor. Shops, treasure rooms, and altars can reshape a run with upgrades, equipment, and cursed items.
Starting a run opens a generated combat room. WASD moved the knight immediately during testing, while the mouse cursor changed the weapon's aim direction before the first encounter.
Learn the full combat kit
Left-click performs a quick attack and right-click performs a heavy one. Press Z to dash, E to use an item, F to interact, and Q to swap equipment. Tab opens the codex and Esc pauses the run.
Essence survives death and pays for permanent upgrades, so a failed attempt can still improve the next one. Temporary upgrades and cursed items are stronger immediate choices, but they disappear when the run ends.
