Climb before the lava reaches you

Escape from Lava starts on the plain beneath an erupting volcano, with the safe tower 290 metres away. A phase timer announces where the lava will spread next, turning every route and construction decision into a race for height.

Moving toward the mountain reduces the distance marker while the current lava zone advances. The goal is not merely to survive one wave, but to keep climbing until the tower is reached.

Movement and building

Use WASD to move, hold Shift to run, and jump over low obstacles. Drag to turn the camera; on touch devices, a left joystick and separate run, jump, wall, and ladder buttons provide the same actions.

Press E to place a brick wall and F to place a ladder. In the opening run, moving forward cut the tower distance to 281 metres, and a single E press placed a wall immediately in front of the character.

Official external play

The game runs on its stable official Astrocade URL and requires no download. Its score, comments, creator profile, and live build remain together on that destination.

Guide

Move: Use WASD on desktop or the left joystick on touch devices
Run / jump: Hold Shift to run and use the jump control to clear obstacles
Build: Press E to place a wall and F to place a ladder; matching touch buttons appear at the lower right
Look: Drag the view to turn the camera and keep the route to the tower in sight
Goal: Climb from the plain to the safe tower before the descending lava reaches the current zone

Creator's description

The run began 290 metres below the safe tower with five seconds before the first lava phase. Moving forward reduced the distance to 281 metres, and pressing E placed a brick wall directly ahead.
