Pothole Patrol

A road-repair run controlled by one decision

The repair truck drives forward on its own. Left and Right move it between three lanes, so each approaching object becomes a quick choice: line up with a pothole, grab a tar barrel, or dodge a stopped car and traffic cone.

A collision ends the run immediately. The road accelerates over one to three minutes, but retrying takes a single press or tap, keeping the rhythm close to an arcade score chase.

Tar and rush hour pull in opposite directions

Each repair spends tar, and barrels may appear away from the safest path. Missing a pothole lights the rush-hour meter; five warnings end the run. Filling five holes in a row clears one warning, giving clean driving a direct defensive value.

After roughly thirty seconds, gates begin adding or removing tar according to the chosen lane. The resource gauge therefore matters more as the road speeds up and hazards leave less time to switch.

Chains turn clean repairs into a score plan

Consecutive fills raise a multiplier and climb in pitch, making the next pothole worth more while giving immediate audio feedback. The best score is stored in the browser for another run.

Press Space to start or retry on desktop, then steer with the arrow keys. Touch players tap the left or right half of the road. The compact layout works in portrait and keeps score, tar, rush-hour warnings, and the truck visible together.

Creator's description

The live run responded immediately to Space and arrow-key lane changes. Three consecutive repairs raised the chain to x3 and the score to 65 while the tar gauge fell and one missed hole lit the first rush-hour warning.
