Manymancer LD

Every item use is a directional decision

Manymancer LD places a small wizard in compact, wall-lined rooms with enemies and limited item counters. Select an item by clicking, tapping, or pressing its number key, then choose a direction with another click, tap, or arrow key.

The opening room showed three hearts, a two-hit snail, walls that narrowed the useful lines, and two available item types. Selecting an item and pressing an arrow key immediately committed the directional action.

Read the room before spending a charge

Walls can waste a poorly aimed use, while enemy position and remaining health determine whether an item will finish the threat or merely leave the wizard exposed. The useful rhythm is to pause, inspect the lanes, then spend the smallest effective tool.

The interface keeps hearts and remaining item counts visible at the edges of the playfield. Press Escape when the run needs to be paused or adjusted.

A compact Ludum Dare build

Torcado made the game in three days for Ludum Dare 60. The result is deliberately small and immediate: it opens directly into the dungeon and explains the complete control scheme on the official page.

The released build supports browser play and also offers a Windows download. Mouse, keyboard, and touch input all map to the same select-then-direct structure.

Cast: Click or tap a direction, or press an arrow key, to use the selected item
Conserve: Item counts are limited, so line up each directional use rather than spending it into a wall
Options: Press Escape to open the options menu

Creator's description

The released browser build opened directly into a compact room with a wizard, a two-hit snail, three hearts, walls, and two limited item counters. Selecting the first item and pressing an arrow key consumed a directional action while the room remained live.
