A satirical board game about ten years in software, where jobs, tech stacks, burnout, AI hype, and layoffs all reshape the race.
Playable here on GameWren. The game is served by the creator’s official host inside this page; GameWren does not rehost its files.
Kuli Coding starts each player as a junior freelancer with cash, reputation, burnout, AI-proofing, and six empty skill tracks. Roll two dice, move around the board, and resolve jobs, technologies, workplace traps, Slack pings, or alumni-chat cards.
A standard match lasts ten in-game years. New AI models alter the job market as the hype meter rises, and the highest career score wins after the final year; a bad turn or layoff does not eliminate anyone.
Many decisions offer an AI route and a manual route. AI can complete work faster, but repeated use can let hard-earned skills rust. Doing the task by hand strengthens the career at the cost of more burnout.
The best choice changes with the board. Cash can absorb a cloud bill, reputation can soften a reorganization, and a broad set of frontend, mobile, backend, data, cloud, and security skills opens safer work later.
Play Here supports turn-taking on one device and can fill open seats with bots that have distinct priorities. The setup screen also offers Casual, Standard, Hardcore, and Chaos rules, plus an unranked custom panel.
Play Online creates a room-code session for friends. The board is readable with a mouse, while Space rolls or continues and the number keys select presented options.
The first roll already puts money, reputation, burnout, skills, and AI-proofing on the same board. Its clearest tension is deciding whether short-term speed is worth long-term skill decay.
