Independent game guide
A short psychological horror mystery. You cover one night as monitor 07, and three voices share one radio.
Playable here on GameWren. The game is served by the creator’s official host inside this page; GameWren does not rehost its files.
Authorized Unknown puts you in for night monitor 07. The last person on duty did not sign out. They left the key. The page says not everything is meant to be read, that the game is meant to be played in full screen, and that you have to click the screen before the music plays.
Take a stroll around the station. Settle in at the computer. Keep an eye on the cameras. Share the power. When the radio chimes in, respond. If something tells you to lock a door, do it. You will hear three voices on the terminal: SYSTEM, COMMAND, and UNKNOWN. All three broadcast on the same frequency, and the page says they are not on the same page and none of them can be trusted.
Expect contradictions. Logs shift in front of you. The feeds will not match what is happening in the room. None of it is reliable. Stick around until morning, or until the closeout is already filed. The creator calls it a short psychological horror mystery: one night, one keyboard.
WASD walks. E sits or uses. Esc leaves a station or pauses. The mouse is for the boards. Those are the only controls on the page. There is an epilepsy warning: flickering lights, screen glitches, and CRT-style visual effects.
Tips on the listing: not everything needs to be read, because "they" do not want you to read certain things. Easy mode is labeled Slowed if you cannot keep up. Instructions sit at the bottom of the screen. Things that glitch quickly do it for story reasons. You can scroll the list under the cameras on the computer.
Authorized Unknown is a designed night with cameras, a radio, and a station. It is not a story you type into a blank box, and it is not the Halloween walk Tavern & Mara. Both can be horror you play in a browser. They are different rooms. This one asks you to distrust three voices that share a frequency.
You're stepping in for night monitor 07, and guess what? The last person on duty didn't sign out. They left you the key, though, so here you are.
